Kindergarten & 8th Grade Buddies
Every year at St. Mary’s, our 8th Graders look forward to meeting their new “Kinder-Buddies” and warmly welcoming them to our school. Our Kindergarten students begin their year knowing that they each have their own 8th Grade Buddy whom they can count on to help carry those enormous bags of apples after the apple-picking field trip......find the perfect pumpkin... sit beside them for school liturgies... join in their Thanksgiving celebration... read stories... and sometimes... just play!
Many smiles are shared...
...and lots and lots of pictures are clipped and posters assembled very artistically!
Buddies make excellent builders...
...and are exceptional race car drivers as well.
Our Kindergarten and 8th Grade Buddies also participate in each other's graduation ceremonies.
